May we, Level3, introduce you to our new game Built for Two
Built for Two is a story about two fucked-up sisters who've been through a hellhole of a life and were forced apart in the moment they needed each other the most.
They went through sort of an Allopatric speciation and had to adapt and evolve to survive on basically their own (They have parents, but they are shiiiiiit)
When they finally meet again, 7 years later, they've both built some many barriers to protect themselves they are unable to reconect without firing against one another
Built for Two is about how two sisters who fail again and again to make the right move and spiral deeper and deeper into their own doom. They are as much victims as they are perpetrators. As abused as they are abusers.
They are Daisy and Belle ]

This story was mostly based on our life. We've been through similar things Daisy and Belle have gone through. We fought really hard against the entire world to be able to be together. We got our happy ending.
Built for Two is the what-if of our own life, had we failed.

Gameplay
Built for Two is a linear game of roughly 2-3h. It has 18k words and consists of 4 Chapters.
Each chapter you will play as one of the sisters with their own internal monologue and worldview.

A very beautiful piece of work. Two deeply traumatized people hurting each other even more. It's also painful seeing how much Daisy fears herself and her fucked up desires and how that enables the both of them to make each other worse. I feel for both of them so much and watching everything unfold hurts. Beautifully toxic.
I did get a bit distracted by the temporary sprites for the characters and was a little sad because the painted backgrounds look good and I think the writing holds up even without them but I'd love to see the finished ones if there's an update planned.

Daisy and Belle story were written to feel as dreadful as possible. There were a lot of moments they were so close to getting a "good ending". The park scene was one of the most important moment of their relationship. I think if not for the guys assaulting them, maybe they could even work things out.
Unfortunately, their were doomed from the start.
